April Showers........

It is going to be a rainy day today. Looks like me and girly twirly are going to have to stay inside all day. Possibly go out to jump in a few puddles. :) I have a new magazine that came in the mail today that i can look over...and hot chocolate sounds good too. Maybe i can sneek in a little sewing today while she naps. I'm wanting to sew "Brother/Sister" matching outfits for when our little baby boy gets here. I have some blue and white gingham material that i thought would be nice. An "A-line" dress and a matching "Jon Jon". Possibly Brown thread for the Monograming. I think that would look nice for the fall.

What do you like to do on Rainy Days??

Pink Polkadots......

Here it is. My version of the T-Shirt Dress. It looks so CUTE on. She loves it. When i put it on her she said "Pretty"! :) One of her favorite words to say. I snagged the shirt $3.50 at Wal-mart (Garanimals)...and the fabric was only $2.44 a yard. So i have some left. What a cute (cheap) dress. I think i will have it monogramed too. What do you think?

Well i'm off to make another dress. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Rainy Daze.........

Today it is pretty nasty outside. Perfect day to clean up the house, play dress up with my little girl, read books and maybe even sew something up... :) I actually have something in mind. I will post back later with pictures...........

Here it is....this is what i ended up sewing. Not much of a project. Just a Diaper Ditty Bag. It holds her wipes case and 4 or 5 diapers. I have wanted to make her one for so long....it was so easy i don't know why i didn't make it sooner.

Spring Cleaning....

Spring Cleaning and Organizing has been on my mind alot today. There is so much to be done. I feel as though i have let my house go this winter. And right now i'm feeling the effects of the first trimester of pregnancy. Morning or shall i say 24/7 sickness is no fun at all. I also find myself even more tired this pregnancy because i'm also trying to keep up with my 13 month old. So i have decided to Downsize during my Spring Cleaning and Organizing this year. Which will be good since we are probably going to be moving sometime this year. Less to move is always good...Right? On my list i have Marked next week as "SPRING CLEANING" week! Monday: Bedrooms (Closets Included). Tuesday: Kitchen and Dinning Room. Wednesday: Bathrooms and Linen Closets and Storage Closets. Thursday: Living Room. Friday: Garage !!! That way i can have the weekend to take bags of clothes to Goodwill and Sale unwanted items on eBay or Craigslist. I think if i stick to this i will be able to accomplish it all.....
Speaking of Closets...mine are getting quite full these days. I have way to much of everything. I Paint so i have painting supplies, i Sew so i have yards and yards of fabric and patterns and sewing supplies...just stuffed into different closets in the house. What i would love to have is one closet designated to Crafts! So my goal is to do just that.

I heard Christopher Lowell say on T.V. the other day..."Only have what you LOVE in your home"! I think this is great advise. I know i'm bad about just picking up some random item at the store just because it is on Sale and i think i have a place for it. Well not anymore. I've made a promise to myself that i will only purchase things that i absolutely have to have. I no longer have room for everything i might like under the sun....i have to house toys and baby stuff. And that takes up alot of room. My hubby wonders how can such a small baby have so much STUFF?

Anybody out there with any good organizational tips to share????

Craft Monday......

Today i was thinking of what i would like to make next for my little girl. Then i remembered how frustrated i was the other day at my "generic" store bought buggy cart-seat cover. I hate that thing. It doesn't cover the entire seat and my daughter can easily touch the handle....that pretty much makes it usless! So i looked in my yards and yards of fabric and picked out a neutral print that could be used for my daughter now and any future children. The print on the fabric that will show is Argyle. I love argyle.....it is so preppy. Then the fabric to be used on the other side has the same colors as the argyle but in a stripe. LOVE IT! Can't wait to see (and use) the finished product. As for now all i have is a picture of the materials to show you....but i will post a picture of the Buggy cart cover as soon as i finish.
